Raiders Train 9th IA Domb Disposal Technicians
FOB FALCON, Iraq n Soldiers of the 752nd EOD Co., attached to the 1st STB, 1st BCT, 4th Inf. Div., MND-B, conducted a controlled detonation of a vehicle Nov. 16 during an Iraqi Security Forces training exercise near FOB Falcon in southern Baghdad’s Rashid district. The Soldiers detonated nearly 200 pounds of explosives for the 9th IA Div. Bomb Disposal Co. to create a realistic scenario for post-blast analysis of the site.

Detecting Toxic Chemicals
Soldiers participating in the toxic industrial chemical protection and detection equipment training use a HazMat ID to identify chemical agents Nov. 18 at Fort Hood. The handheld device uses a computerized sensor and diamond plate technology to detect the presence of a wide variety of chemical substances, from common household items to deadly industrial toxins.

National American Indian Heritage Month
Tahca Eagle Horse, a full-blooded Lakota Sioux, dances the warrior dance during the 1st Cavalry Division’s National American Indian Heritage Month program Monday at Howze Theater. This dance was danced by the elder warriors with the younger warriors to teach the stories of their past and the way they lived throughout time, Eagle Horse said.

OWC Bazaar
Santa Claus cuts the ribbon to open the 2008 Officers' Wives' Club Holiday Bazaar with the help of Ron Taylor, president of the Association of the United States Army, Killeen Mayor Timothy Hancock, Maxine Hancock, OWC President Karrie Fath, Lt. Gen. Rick Lynch and Sarah Lynch. The proceeds from this fundraiser are given back to Fort Hood and area charities. The Holiday Bazaar featured more than 100 arts and crafts vendors, professional pictures with Santa and the Holiday Indulgence Café.
